HOW TO SUCCEED YOUR BRAZILIAN SMOOTHING

Each Brazilian smoothing is different, some brands are intended to smooth intensely while others treat the hair perfectly and gives them a great shine without relaxing the hair loop.

Your choice will be according to your hair type and the result you want.

It should be noted, however, that the mode of use of all these treatments remains substantially the same.

Here are the basics of the application process to succeed in your Brazilian smoothing.

The application of Brazilian smoothing is very easy, if you know how to smooth your hair with a straightener, congratulations! You know how to do a Brazilian smoothing!

1. Choose the right product.

Start by analyzing your hair type ( we help you here ) and define the result you want.

Do you want to keep your curls while looking after your hair? Facilitate styling? Smooth to the maximum without stiffening them?

Once you have your answers, consult our comparative table of Brazilian smoothings to find the product that meets your expectations.

2. Wash, wash, wash!

Using the clarifying shampoo recommended by the brand you have chosen, wash your hair 2 to 3 times, avoiding rubbing the scalp too vigorously.

This step will remove all the product residues you previously used and open the cuticles.

After this step, your hair will be rough to the touch, do not disentangle them, they are ready to receive the treatment.

3. Apply the treatment

Dry your hair at 80% then divide it into 4 sections.

Start applying the product from the nape of the neck.

On each bit place with a brush a little product 1cm from the root, in the middle of the wick and towards the tip.

Mix the wick to distribute the treatment evenly and then comb a fine comb to remove excess product.

4. Duration of treatment

The exposure time of the keratin smoothing treatment varies according to the manufacturer, generally it is 15 to 20 minutes.

Consult the manual of your product to know the recommendations of the mark.

5. Dry the product

Once the exposure time has elapsed, dry the product. This can take a long time because there is a lot of product in the hair. This is why we must remove the surplus with the comb.

Use a brush (the one you find the easiest to handle) to dry as much as possible without straightening them.

6. Smooth!

The delivery is near but the most important remains to be done.

The successful completion of this step will determine the result of your Brazilian smoothing.

Use a stable, adjustable temperature straightener and refer to the instructions for the temperature recommended by the brand you have chosen.

Divide your hair into 4 parts, start smoothing thin sections starting at the nape of the neck. Iron between 10 and 15 times until the product evaporates completely.

According to brands such as Inoar Ghair for example, it will follow this smoothing step, rinse the product and then apply a finalization mask.

You can rinse it after letting it rest for 5 minutes.

7. Respect the rules

Following the treatment there are some rules to respect to ensure an optimal result.

According to brands, do not wash your hair between 24 and 48 hours after application.

Do not tie up hair, put on hairpins or pliers.

Use a shampoo and appropriate care (without sodium laureth sulfate) to ensure optimal hold of your smoothing.
